It’s about time that Sony releases a home-theater-in-a-box system with integrated Blu-ray players. The Sony BDV-IT1000ES is one of its first models. The Sony BDV-IT1000ES features a single disc 5.1 channel surround Blu-ray disc system and a S-AIR wireless technology. The Sony BDV-IT1000ES’s speakers only measures 3/4 inch wide by 22 inches long and has a 700W and a 200W subwoofer.
The Sony BDV-IT1000ES is BD-Live capable although it needs a firmware update which is set to be released this fall. Other features include: external flash memory port, precision Drive HD, and supports Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS-HD High resolution audio formats.
The Sony BDV-IT1000ES will be available in October and hasa retail price of $1,999.
